Galerie Betty Charles

Galerie Betty Charles is a boutique gallery in Mayfair, London, specialising in 20th and 21st century art from the UK and Europe. Founder Lucy Charles brings a career spanning Christie’s, the Guggenheim Museum in Venice and private European

foundations. Under her direction, the gallery has quickly earned a reputation for rediscovering overlooked artists and quietly bringing them back into the room. The gallery hangs contemporary works alongside older, established pieces, just as they would sit together in a home. It’s a way of showing that good art is timeless, and that the right pieces bring out the best in one another and in the space around them. Lucy and her team think the way designers do: about scale, mood, light and how a work will feel in a room or a garden, not just on a gallery wall.
