Warner Textile Archive is launching nine new wallpapers by Wendy Bray, whose artistic career spans over 60 years. Each of her designs captures the intrinsic vitality of everyday scenes, with a bold interplay of pattern and colour.
The designs above are: Umbrellas, New York, Provence and Campine.
Wendy Bray’s career began at the prestigious textile design studio of Courtaulds, following her graduation from art school in 1951. In this role she created furnishing and dress designs that mirrored the energy and optimism of post-war Britain. It was at Courtaulds that Wendy met her husband Geoffrey. Living in New York in the 1970s, Wendy drew great influence from further studies at the Art Students League. These fruitful years informed the design style that has remained Wendy’s signature ever since.
Wendy now divides her time between homes in England and France, drawing fresh inspiration from her travels.
Warner Textile Archive has selected nine stunning pieces to launch as wallpapers, printed to superior quality in England.
