The Harlequin Group has just launched a new brand of fabrics and wallpapers called Scion, aimed at ‘trend-savvy customers’ and accessibly-priced. The debut collection, Melinki, comprises an eclectic mix of printed fabrics, embroideries, jacquards, co-ordinating plains and complementary wallpapers. The designs draw inspiration from mid-century archive documents as well as modern Scandinavian design.
Scion’s first collection is grouped into clean colour groups including coastal calm, retro kitsch, bakelite brights and urban neutrals.
Scion is proud of its British roots: its printed fabrics and wallcoverings are all manufactured in the UK, by factories that have clear commitments and initiatives towards the care of the environment and to sustainability.
Prices start at £25 per metre for printed fabrics and from £30 per roll for wallpapers.
The brand will be available nationally from April 2012. See the full range on their website: www.scion.uk.com
