Julia Korner is a restorer and conservator of paintings and frames as well as polychrome sculptures. She specialises in the complex cleaning of 16th to 20th century works of art restoring paintings suffering from water and fire damage as well as accidental damage and general age and deterioration. Julia offers a picture valuation service based on twenty years’ experience at Christie’s and fourteen years running her own company. She also makes traditional gold leaf and gesso frames and overmantles to order using her extensive book binding tools to enhance the decoration of such frames.
