A love of antiques and traditional upholstery inspired Kate MacKenzie to establish The Original Chair Company in 2006 – sourcing reupholstering and selling all types of antique seating including armchairs sofas dining chairs and chaise longues from Georgian Victorian Edwardian Art Deco periods and the 1950s. Items are traditionally restored and recovered to order in fabrics from a choice of top manufacturers. There are also throws decorative accessories and fine classic reproductions of sofas chairs footstools and screens; plus a bespoke design and sourcing service.
