The Royal School of Needlework was founded in 1872 and is the international centre of excellence for the art of hand-embroidery. Based at Hampton Court Palace in south west London they offer a range of embroidery courses for all levels: day classes for beginners; a Certificate and Diploma course in Technical Hand Embroidery; a Future Tutors programme (training RSN tutors for the future) and a BA (Hons) Hand Embroidery for Fashion Interiors Textile Art. As a unique institution it teaches regionally in the UK in Durham City Glasgow Bristol and Rugby and in the USA and Japan. All embroidery tutors have been trained at the RSN and they bring to each student a wealth of experience technical knowledge and enthusiasm.
