Interior designer Noriko Sawayama (Associate BIDA) works on residential and commercial projects including hotel restaurant retail and gallery interiors as well as furniture design. Her multi-functional ‘Chigaidana Cabinet’ which extends from a box-like shape into a series of shelves with drawers was nominated for the shortlist of ‘Best Furniture in living space’ for the Design and Decoration Awards 2003.
