Adam and Clare Gilchrist of Veedon Fleece have re-interpreted this 1951 textile design by Wendy Bray, who graduated in 1951, Festival of Britain year, and a time when all things Scandinavian, especially Danish furniture, were the peak of chic. Her design, which she called ‘Scandi Girls’ has now become an elegant carpet, and thanks to Veedon Fleece’s support, she is enjoying a revival of interest in her work (see also the feature in World of Interiors this month).
