Guinevere Antiques has represented bronze sculptor Paula Swinnen since 2011, and will be holding an exhibition of her work from 11 June to 31 July. Discover her tables, lights, chandeliers, consoles and mirrors, all cast in solid bronze and inspired by the natural forms of flora and fauna.
The Vineyard table in cast bronze. The legs and branches of this coffee table are modelled as gnarled vines and branches and patinated in a light brown finish. The grapes, leaves and dragonflies are in a polished bronze. Signed and dated by the artist – 2014.
Paula Swinnen studied at the Fine Arts Academy in Brussels, where she discovered that her true passion was to ‘draw in bronze’. Twenty years later, this self-taught sculptor has mastered every stage of working with bronze, from the casting to creating the patina. The ancient lost-wax technique, which she uses, enables her to capture exquisite details.

Paula Swinnen will be in residence at Guinevere Antiques from 10th to 14th June. The exhibition runs 11 June to 31 July 2014. Prices start at £330 (+VAT)
