Ghizlan el Glaoui’s original concept is reminiscent of mosaics of the Byzantine Empire and marries art with LED lighting. A geometric pattern on canvas is hand-painted in oil tempera and metallic paints with subjects captured in vivid colour then illuminated from behind.
