WOW!house 2025 at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour brings together 22 leading interior designers to create an immersive showcase of room sets that celebrate craftsmanship, creativity and innovation. This year’s edition offers fresh perspectives on timeless design, with each space telling a unique story through materials, texture, and considered detail. Here, we spotlight a selection of standout interiors featuring exceptional contributions from members of The House Directory.

SAMUEL HEATH BATHROOM BY LAURA HAMMETT

Designed by multi-award-winning interior designer Laura Hammett in collaboration with Samuel Heath, the WOW!house bathroom is a glamorous homage to the roaring twenties. The opulent space features geometric forms and motifs and bold jewel colours, as well as a collection Art Deco-inspired brassware, hardware and sanitaryware designed by Hammett for the British bathroom brand. Key to the space is a show-stopping, San Marino roll top marble bathtub from, Lapicida. It’s a luxurious centrepiece that sits beautifully with the double basin vanity, the latticed marble floor tiles, a dramatic chandelier, and bold artwork.

LOPEN JOINERY KITCHEN BY BEN PENTREATH STUDIO

In the beautifully crafted, unfitted kitchen by the team at renowned interior design studio, Ben Pentreath, the bespoke cabinetry is a collaboration with Somerset-based cabinetmakers Lopen Joinery. A masterclass in timeless design, the space combines warm colours and tactile materials that together create a welcoming space with a wonderfully lived-in feel. Reclaimed doors come courtesy of reclamation specialists Retrouvius, switches and sockets are from Forbes & Lomax, while the ‘Crillon’ armchair and ‘Avon’ wall light are both from Soane London. Another highlight of the space is a 19th century-inspired oak dresser, that features a Birr Black limestone sink and worktop from Lapicida, while on either side of the range cooker, Carrara marble worktops, from the stone specialists also add to the kitchen’s charm, as does a grey honed slate cool shelf in  the adjoining pantry.

COX LONDON ENTRANCE HALL BY VICTORIA DAVAR OF MAISON ARTEFACT

The Cox London room, designed by Victoria Davar of Maison Artefact boasts not only five-metre-high ceilings but a floating staircase too. Against this elegant backdrop is a curation of vintage and bespoke pieces including a charming 18th-century Norwegian table and an exquisitely embroidered French quilt. Central to the space is a bespoke ‘Lion Leg’ table and a breathtaking ‘Oak Leaf’ chandelier crafted in hand-patinated bronze, both by Cox London. More considered lighting elements include picture lights by TM Lighting, ‘Vorsa Sot’ spotlights by John Cullen Lighting and a Berkeley brass floor lamp by Paolo Moschino. The floor is laid with Lapicida’s reclaimed English flagstone with purple Rosso Levanto marble inserts. Atkey and Company provided the early to mid-Georgian style front doors and architectural joinery throughout the space, including architraves, skirting and wall mouldings.

DRUMMONDS POWDER ROOM BY NICOLA HARDING

In Nicola Harding’s richly layered powder room for Drummonds, bold colour and opulent materials elevate the compact space into something wonderfully theatrical. A magnificent, tented ceiling is crafted in aubergine silk from Tissus d’Hélène, whose fabrics were also used on the walls, to make the curtains, and on the WC privacy panel, as well as to upholster the NiX by Nicola Harding ‘Perch’ Slipper Chair. A reclaimed antique door from Retrouvius adds patina and the glazed bejmat floor tiles are softened by woven dhurries from Vanderhurd. The centrepiece is the Art Deco style ‘Grand Union’ double vanity, which is paired with a matching side table and ‘Derwent’ light, all designed by Harding for Drummonds, while brassware includes the ‘Brora’ high-level WC and ‘Chessleton’ basin mixer. A bespoke Nushka ikat lampshade completes this jewel-box escape.

SIMS HILDITCH COURTYARD ROOM BY EMMA SIMS-HILDITCH

Emma Sims‑Hilditch’s Courtyard Room is a polished and practical reinterpretation of a British country‑house boot room. Incorporating antiques, fine art, decorative wall finishes and architectural detailing, its classic English aesthetic make it feel warm, inviting and above all, liveable. On arrival, a Swedish Mora clock and 19th‑century cricket table from Lorfords Antiques set a nostalgic tone, alongside stoneware pots and a 1960s bamboo‑rattan mirror. The layout divides into two zones: a glazed‑screened entrance hall dressed in curtains made from Lewis & Wood’s ‘Rosetta’ fabric, and a working boot and dog‑wash area. Here, a bespoke Lorfords Contemporary dog bed sits next to a Barber Wilson dog shower and a functional marble sink. Soane’s ‘Parrett’ and ‘Twining’ wall lights, plus architectural illumination from John Cullen Lighting ensures the space is warm and welcoming.

HECTOR FINCH SNUG BY THURSTAN

Earthy browns and muted teals form the base palette of the Hector Finch Snug designed by James Thurstan Waterworth. A curated, liveable workspace where antiques meet artisan craftsmanship, handpicked pieces in the space include an 18th-century carved desk and a giltwood Spanish frame from Thurstan’s own collection, both of which are anchored by the room’s reclaimed timber floors. Textured walls glow under Hector Finch’s brass ‘Zac’ floor light and ‘Amber’ table lamp. Forbes & Lomax switches and sockets are subtly integrated into rich wood joinery, while a traditional fireplace with a stone surround is a comforting presence and Nest Design’s bespoke curtains, which frame the sash window, are all sewn in natural-dyed linens. Balancing practicality, warmth, quiet luxury, this is a refined space with an inviting atmosphere. Watch the video to meet the team and artisans who brought Thurstan’s design to life.

HOUSE OF ROHL PRIMARY BATHROOM BY 1508 LONDON

The House of Rohl Primary Bathroom by Ailsa Connery, design principal at 1508 London, is a contemporary sanctuary based on the themes of reflection, ritual, and reverie. At its centre is a gently curved, rammed clay shower enclosure and a sculptural Victoria + Albert ‘Seros’ freestanding bath, the fluid, organic design of which was conceived in collaboration with sculpture artist Sophie‑Elizabeth Thompson. This is paired with Perrin & Rowe’s ‘Langbourn’ brassware and a tiled floor laid using hand‑painted Ca’ Pietra ‘Riad’ tiles. Adding softness to the space is a plush Porta Romana ‘Stanley’ upholstered bench, while Tom Faulkner’s ‘Cloud Cheval’ freestanding mirror and ‘Lily stool’, are illuminated by architectural lighting by John Cullen Lighting. The result is a luxurious bathroom that layers light and materiality to create an immersive, serene bathing escape.
