Useful Organisations
For 30 years, GoodWeave has partnered with companies to bring transparency and accountability within all parts of their product supply chain, from the factory floor down into the informal hidden levels of production where child labor is most prevalent. GoodWeave certified products are made free of child labour and forced labour. The licensing and certification programme operates in the rug and home textile sectors of India and Nepal. GoodWeave partners with local organisations to provide rehabilitative services to freed children and preventative programmes to keep children in school and away from the loom.
To date, GoodWeave has restored freedom to 10,793 children and provided direct educational opportunities to 96,543 children. In 2023, GoodWeave reached 117,817 workers in supply chains.
