Antique Silver & Metalware
Jay Arenski’s Antique Silver & Metalware collection brings together exceptional craftsmanship and objects of true decorative interest. With a discerning eye for the unusual, Jay selects pieces that combine beauty with intrigue, often blurring the line between functional object and sculptural art. Highlights from the current collection include a pair of whimsical silver-plated and glass-preserved pots in the form of bees, made circa 1930 by Mappin & Webb, one with yellow glass and the other red, both stamped with maker’s marks. Alongside these is a pair of finely crafted silver and gold metal columns dated 1883, decorated with geometric motifs and four masks at the base, demonstrating exceptional 19th-century design and detail.
