Tips and trends
'In this workroom, close-up lighting is needed over the centre work-table area. The original and alternative solution has been to suspend an oversized industrial lamp, which operates on a hook and pulley system. Attached to a winch, the light can be lowered or raised at will'.
We all need a space where we can catch up on emails, tackle household admin or enjoy some crafting. In A Space of My Own, Caroline Clifton-Mogg shows you how to make the most of your personal workspace by choosing the right furniture and lighting, attractive storage to keep things conveniently at hand, and personal decorative touches. The book also features inspiring examples of home offices, shared workspaces, craft rooms and children’s and teens’ spaces. £19.99 www.rylandpeters.com
