Nicky Haslam has collaborated with OKA to produce a range of gothic-style furniture as well as colourful fabrics, cushions and home accessories – pieces that (as he puts it) give a room ‘oomph’.
The delightful ‘Campaign Tent’ wardrobe is covered in the new ‘Saintclou’ fabric and is £2,690.
This round dining table has a polished elm veneered surface on a solid pedestal base that has been carved with diamond emblems and painted by hand. It’s an unpretentious piece that works in all rooms. Seats 4-6 people, £2,195.
The wonderfully ornate ‘Origo’ headboard has a baroque curved design and is upholstered in linen (it’s £1,325). The pineapple design on the ‘Ananas’ cushion covers is printed, but looks as though it’s been painted by hand. They are £65 each.
The hand-carved ‘Walpole’ chair with quatrefoil detailing is £650.
This ‘Shield’ coffee table is hand-painted the colour of baked earth (£1,285). Also in the picture is the ‘French Quarter’ fireguard, made from ‘aged’ metal with a verdigris finish. It’s £150.
A sofa so perfectly loose-covered it looks upholstered. The ‘Anthon’ sofa is an updated Knole sofa, with the arms and back lowered to suit present-day interiors. Loose-covered in 100% Linen. £3,200.
This ‘Gothick’ tripod side table has been painstakingly painted by hand, right down to the tassels. It costs £525.
