Trends
‘Lighting is key to creating atmosphere within the home and we are now being asked for minimal use of down-lighters and a softer approach to lighting.  More lamps and wall sconces, just highlighting key features with directional spots and up-lighters. What we are seeing for 2008 is a ‘greener’ approach to living; using less energy and an awareness of organic textiles for furnishing.’
Kate Earle of design company Todhunter Earle.

The company’s new range of organic soft furnishing and upholstery fabrics in collaboration with O Ecotextiles was launched at Decorex in September and the fabrics have already been chosen for new bedroom suites at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.
