I have three windows with awful views of the back of an office block. I hate net curtains, yet need to let as much light in as possible. Any ideas?

Caroline Rees Glass Design specialise in contemporary etched glass for windows, which is an alternative to traditional obscure glass, and can be made to order in an original design. Have you considered shutters? Louvred shutters provide a covering for the windows and if the blades are tilted, light can still come into the room. There are many shutter makers listed on our website, including The California Shutters Co, The Capella Shutter Company or  Deco. Venetian blinds can also allow light in but provide privacy as you can control the direction of the slats. Companies like BellaVista Shutters & Blinds can help with this solution. For a softer option, you could use a sheer linen panel beneath a Roman blind – this would still let in light. You could try sheer linens from Volga Linen or from Ada & Ina .

I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO HELP DESIGN MY HOUSE, BUT WANT MY HOME TO APPEAR AS IF IT GREW INTO ITS LOOK, NOT AS IF IT HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY DESIGNED. I PARTICULARLY LIKE VINTAGE STYLE.

I AM TRYING TO SOURCE BRICK FLOORING FOR MY ENTIRE DOWNSTAIRS INCLUDING THE KITCHEN, UTILITY, ENTRANCE HALL AND LIVING ROOM. IT WILL BE CONTINUED ON TO AN OUTSIDE PATIO. IT NEEDS TO BE SUITABLE FOR USE WITH UNDERFLOOR HEATING. PLEASE COULD YOU RECOMMEND SUPPLIERS?
