Jamb‘s new double-fronted Pimlico Road showroom captures the company’s English country house look, with a comfortable mix of beautiful reproduction chimneypieces, lighting and furniture and eclectic antiques.
Jamb has a large reproduction lantern collection inspired by antique originals. The globe has become the company’s signature shape, and is available in many beautiful versions. The one shown here in the centre is the ‘Original Globe’, and the domed-top lantern on the left is the ‘Wilton’.
The showroom is painted in soft colours – the perfect foil to Will Fisher’s Hawker Antiques.
Above the hall chair is the ‘Bradshaw’ wall lantern, available in any finish.
Will Fisher’s office, with an impressive reference library.
The ‘Hamilton’ hanging lantern, and stairs leading to the downstairs showroom.
Darker colours and the large chimneypiece give the low-ceilinged basement a grand feel.
Will Fisher has one of the largest collections of antique chimneypieces in the country with well over one hundred pieces from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. His new catalogue of (mainly 18th century) chimneypieces, Jamb Antiques Volume III, will be out in June.
Jamb also has a reproduction range of marble fireplaces, stone fireplaces, fire grates and baskets in brass and polished steel, as well as a range of fireplace accessories. The chimneypieces are made by highly skilled craftsmen using traditional techniques. The company also offers a bespoke service.
