The Silk Gallery Collection was developed in 1989 by Kathryn Thompson who designs and sources her own fabrics and ensures that all manufacture is undertaken in the U.K. Timeless classical themes have been the inspiration for many of the designs. The core fabric in many of the collections is silk but the company has developed yarn combinations (silk with linen, wool, cotton and/or viscose) that enhance both the durability and the natural characteristics of silk.
