The made-to-measure and bespoke furniture is made by hand in their Stamford workshop and the team offers a thoughtfully circular customer experience encompassing repair, restoration, repurposing and resale of their furniture.

Matthew Cox’s made-to-measure and bespoke freestanding kitchen furniture is inspired by the antique furniture he has dealt in over the last three decades. The company’s designs feature dining tables, prep tables, cupboards, and cabinets that reflect details of country house kitchens as well as the simple, utilitarian aesthetic found in shops, schools, and taverns. The furniture is made by hand in the company’s Stamford workshop and finished by skilled wood, metal, and stone specialists. Made to commission in rich naturally evolving materials, every piece of furniture is a true one-off made by dedicated craftsmen and women.

Matthew Cox’s restrained collection of lighting is strongly influenced by simple geometric shapes and is constructed in recycled brass and glass. The hand patination of each piece adds depth and dimension to the substantial and meticulously made brass lanterns and wall lights. The various iterations of the galley lantern, loupe light and vesper light offer versatile options in a number of raw finishes which convey the character and warmth of the surface while allowing the patina to evolve with time and use.
