Each commission is built by multiskilled craftspeople in Bisca’s Yorkshire workshop. All materials are individually sourced and, where possible sustainable.
Bisca’s award-winning, bespoke staircases and balustrades are built entirely in the company’s own workshop in North Yorkshire which also boasts its own forge. Each commission is the handiwork of a dedicated team of multiskilled craftspeople who combine traditional blacksmithing methods with precision engineering. Materials include bronze and forged steel, often referred to as wrought iron, in a variety of finishes. Balustrades can be designed to complement a myriad of architectural styles, from period homes to the most contemporary house for both indoors and outdoors. Bisca also take commissions for railings and sculptural garden design.
Renowned for designing, building, and installing bespoke staircases, Bisca also undertake decorative feature commissions, including wine walls, canopies, and glass floor, requiring structural knowledge and attention to detail. Utilising their vast engineering experience Bisca also create bespoke outdoor architectural features such as canopies, railings, gates, garden sculptures and staircases. All commissions are unique to the client and built by multiskilled craftspeople in Bisca’s own Yorkshire workshop.
