Luxury bathroom makers Drummonds recently opened a spectacular new showroom on London’s King’s Road. The 225 sq metre space has been transformed in collaboration with award-winning designer Christopher Jenner. The luxurious new flagship also showcases Christopher Jenner’s new capsule collection of freestanding bathroom furniture in which he marries cast iron, polished steel and traditional enamelling techniques with English carpentry in oak, walnut and driftwood and custom colourways. Prices range from £4000 to £9000.
‘The Newton’, a single vanity in drift oak and white enamel, is designed for contemporary apartment living. A single ceramic basin takes pride of place in an expanse of crisp white enamel.
‘The Elgin’ is a small crafted cupboard with a retro appeal. Shown here in drift oak and white enamel.
The jewel of the collection is ‘the Pembridge’, an imposing double vanity with polished iron fittings. It combines traditional iron work with solid wood carpentry and is available in a selection of tactile woods and finishes. The inset panels (on this and the other pieces in the collection) can be made to order in other colours.
‘The Chapel’ linen cupboard in American walnut and polished iron.
Jenner describes the new showroom’s design as an “elemental narrative”, showcasing the artisanal heritage at the heart of Drummonds’ baths, basins, showers, taps and accessories.
Drummonds’ distinctive style is refined and luxurious. Rich with white enamel, marble, polished metal and mirror glass, it works in both contemporary and period settings. The company manufactures all its own products, using traditional manufacturing techniques.
