The fair champions British art from 1900 to the present day. Some 60 leading dealers show works by the great names of the 20th century: Bacon, Freud, Frink, Frost, Hepworth, Hockney, Hodgson, Lanyon, Lowry, Moore, Nash, Piper, Riley, Scott, Spencer and Sutherland to name a few. Alongside these will be a large selection of work by emerging and established contemporary artists, some of whom already have achieved international reputations - like Hirst, Emin and Grayson Perry - as well as work by emerging artists who may be the stars of tomorrow.
Launched in 2016, the fair has a vibrant mix of over 50 exhibitors from across the UK and Europe and members of the Antiques Young Guns movement have injected a whole new dimension to the event, bringing with them an audience who have inspired a new generation to mix antiques and C20th design in the modern home. More than 150 dealers from the UK and Europe will be at the Fair, with a variety of antique and 20th century design drawn from sources around the world, dating from the early 1700s to 1970: furniture, lighting, textiles, ceramics, glass, architectural elements and garden artefacts. Works of art from all periods to the contemporary – paintings, prints and sculpture. The Cocktail Hour – Foyer Display; inspired by fashionable 1960s nightspots, with a touch of deco glamour, the Winter Fair Foyer will present a contemporary space for parties with a modern club room vibe, with 20th century cocktail sets, antique drinking paraphernalia, drinks trolleys, cocktail cabinets, serving trays, champagne buckets, bar accessories and glassware. All items in the Fair display come from exhibitors and are for sale.
