Lewis & Wood was established 20 years ago by Stephen Lewis and interior designer Joanna Wood. The company is renowned for it’s bold floral designs, Toile de Jouy, and a stunning range of printed velvets, plain linen taffeta, tweeds and merino wools. The new Rococo Collection, designed by Melissa White, includes both wallpapers and velvet and linen fabrics. The company is famous for its signature wide width wallpapers, which includes striking metallic designs, and the re-colouring of old favourites, Jasper Peony and Adam’s Eden. 2014 also sees the company team up with Christopher Moore and his unrivalled collection of Toiles and Indienne linens will be available exclusively through Lewis & Wood.
Jane Gordon-Clark is known internationally for the originality of her wallpapers. She founded the company Ornamenta in 1976 and immediately established a reputation for the originality of the designs. Among them are the stone effect 'Ashlar Block', 'Clouds' (which looks like a summer sky), 'Woodgrain' (with the appearance of colour washed planks) and many trompe l'oeil architectural borders. The collection includes design classics: the very wide hand-printed 'Belshazzar Stripe' and 'Nabucco' stripe. Some of the papers are handmade; some incorporate 22 carat gold leaf or white gold, and many designs are created bespoke for individual projects.
