Biden Designs’ wall covering products include hand-blocked “Karakami” paper, which translates as” paper from China” : the collection has been printed using traditional techniques that were first introduced to Japan in the 8th century. The collection consists of five patterns (which take their inspiration from plants, animals, nature and geometrical motifs) available in five colourways. Bespoke colours and ink are also available. The unique texture and appearance of these wallpapers works well in both contemporary and traditional design schemes and is totally new to the UK. The company also supplies a wall covering made of natural wood sliced into strips of incredible thinness and then dyed and woven to display the beautiful grain of Paulownia wood.

For its 10th anniversary, Lizzo Design has opened a London flagship showroom in Chelsea Harbour. The company supplies luxury hand-painted wallpapers by Anya Larkin and a vast range of textured wallcoverings by the Japanese company Tomita. Lizzo also represents many fabric companies, as well as Garrett Leathers and contemporary bespoke furniture.
