Traditional folding screens inspired by 17th century Japanese designs. They are made of paper and wood; gold, silver or metal leaf is applied to the paper and the painting is then done on the gilded surface.

Rare and exquisite Japanese interior products, created employing traditional artisanship techniques: lacquered furniture, kimono screens, light sculptures and hand-printed paper. 'Byobu' are screens with hinges which are often painted and placed on the floor to add decoration to Japanese rooms. They make a grand display on walls when flat-mounted. Biden's unique twist is a kimono directly mounted on a screen to dramatic effect. All are bespoke. Biden will help you to source kimonos and obi sashes or you can use your own. Also traditional Japanese hand-printed papers (Karakami) mounted on sliding panels for exceptional room dividers.
