Christopher and Nicola Cox are both sculptors and talented technicians. They first began working together in the mid 1990s, bonding over a shared love of the decorative arts. Having created sculptural furniture and lighting together for some years, in 2005 they founded Cox London. Today they personally oversee the production of every piece they design, running an in-house team of specialist artisans in their exciting London studio and workshops. Christopher and Nicola Cox continue to push the boundaries of materials: bronze; silver; wrought iron; blown glass and cast stone.
Lorfords prides itself on its craftsmanship and a passion for interiors. It is a family business that designs and makes furniture and lighting in their Cotswold studio; everything from the hardwood frames on sofas to the hand-blown shades on wall lights is made in England. Seating features hand-tied coil springs and seat, back and arm cushions are filled exclusively with feather and down.
