Nearly 30 years ago Rachel Simpson, director of The Rug Studio, began collecting rugs, kilims and textiles during the course of her travels. When she established the Rug Studio in 1993 she appreciated that clients selected rugs based on what is most visually appealing. Her goal is to help to match the right client to the right rug. This is done by understanding the function of the room and what type of rug works best for different situations. For example, a city workshop carpet or Aubusson (original or reproduction) work well in smart formal rooms; a tribal kilim is ideal for a snug, kitchen or hallway. The Rug Studio aims to harmonise function with style to ensure you find the right piece.Opening hours Tues - Sat 10am - 5pm.
