Originally established as Babylon Design in 1997 as designers and makers of contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories, Birgit Israel has now added vintage and antique pieces to the eclectic mix, creating an invaluable source for unique interior furnishings. The vintage collection features iconic and unusual 20th century designs: tables, cabinetry, desks, seating, lighting, mirrors, screens, boxes and period glassware. The new hand-crafted 'Made in Germany' range is inspired by 1930s furniture and each piece can be customised to clients' specification in terms of size and finish. Birgit Israel and her team also undertake residential interior design projects worldwide.
